The University of Kansas KU Dance Marathon
The University of Kansas KU Dance Marathon is working on becoming a nationally recognized program for the amount of money that they donate to the University of Kansas Medical Center/KU Pediatrics and for the percentage of KU students who participate in the dance marathon. This year the Dance Marathon is Saturday, February 4th and Panera Bread will donate bagels and cream cheese to help feed the hungry dancers.
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce KC BizFest
The Greater Kansas City Hispanic Collaborative and its sister organization the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City have sponsored this event for the past nine years. It is the longest running KC BizFest in the country and Panera Bread has been helping to provide breakfast for the participants for the last several years and will again this year on February 8th.
Muscular Dystrophy Association’s MDA Muscle Walk
The Muscular Dystrophy Association’s MDA Muscle Walk will take place on February 10th in Wichita and Panera Bread will provide bagels for the many people who will be walking to pay tribute to children and adults with muscular dystrophy, while raising funds to support MDA’s missions of help and hope.
St. Jude Children’s Hospital
St. Jude Children’s Hospital is a widely recognized name in our country and we are proud to help sponsor, by providing dinner for volunteers, the KFDI Country Cares radiothon being held in Wichita, KS on February 16-17th. Country Cares is a radiothon that is held every year at country radio stations around the nation. KFDI is the most successful one if Kansas, always raising numbers between 60,000-100,000.
The Children’s Charity of Greater Kansas City
On February 25th, Kansas Citians will have their chance for “fifteen minutes of fame” on stage at the Midland Theatre, all in support of Variety, The Children’s Charity of Greater Kansas City. Variety Show 2012 will bring back the popular variety show format and will showcase some of our town’s most recognizable philanthropists and celebrities. Panera Bread will donate cookies for all of the entertainers to enjoy!

Pink Ribbon Gymnastics Meet
During the weekend of March 2-4th, the KGDC Booster Club will host the Pink Ribbon Gymnastics meet. Over 960 young women will participate in this weekend, and the gym donates a portion of the proceeds to the American Cancer Society, for breast cancer research. Over the past 4 years they have donated over $15,000. Panera Bread is proud to help this fundraiser by donating breakfast for the coaches and judges on Friday, March 2nd.
Relay for Life
Blue Valley Youth, of Overland Park Kansas, will participate in Relay for Life to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. Specifically, Blue Valley High School will have several teams and Panera Bread will help sustain the participants by donating bagels and cream cheese on March 2nd.
Circle the Square 5k Walk/Run
The organization Community Services League will present the inaugural Circle the Square 5k Walk/Run on Saturday, March 31st. Panera Bread will donate bagels and cream cheese that morning.
Youth Art Month
Each year, the Kansas Arts Education Association (KAEA) hosts Youth Art Month in Topeka, KS. KAEA members know that students involved in the arts outperform their peers in all academic aspects, that art students are better skilled in problem solving and have a life time interest in improving the quality of their communities. The KAEA will host a reception on March 31st at the Kansas State Capital and will award prizes to students in elementary through high school categories, for student art work. Panera Bread is happy to help sponsor the reception by donating cookies that day.
