July/August 2015

July 25
On July 25th, the House of Refuge IMPACT Youth Center will hold a Community Health Fair/Back to School Supply Giveaway.  Parents will bring their children from all over the Metropolitan area and from all grade levels to receive free health screenings, clothes, food and school supplies.  Panera Bread is happy to be donating bagels and cream cheese from our Summit Woods location in Lee’s Summit for this community-wide event.

July 30
Heather’s Camp, Inc, a camp for visually impaired children, will take place July 29th to August 1st at Rock Springs 4H camp.  Panera Bread has donated cookies and/or bagels for the campers and volunteers in the past and will again donate bagels and cream cheese on July 30th from our Rock Road location in Wichita.

July 31
Through the generosity of golf participants, sponsors, donors and volunteers, the Annual Bill Mounkes Golf Tournament has raised over $93,000 for Children’s Mercy Hospital over the last seven years.  And again this year, Panera Bread will donate bagels and cream cheese for the volunteers and golfers, from our Olathe South location, in Olathe.

August 7
The Dream Factor’s largest fundraiser, the Boulevard of Dreams,  will take place on August 7th.  The Dream Factory has grown into the second-largest children’s wish-granting organization in the United States, granting over 25,000 dreams since its inception –all while maintaining a grassroots approach.  The Dream Factory continues to operate all 38 of its local chapters with over 5000 very dedicated volunteers.  These hard-working individuals raise funds within their own communities and then use those funds to grant the dreams of local children.   Panera Bread will donate cookies for the fundraiser from our Deer Creek location in Overland Park.
